About Me

I am a recent graduate of the University of Washington’s Museology Graduate Program, where I specialized in collections management and registration. My thesis, “Exhibiting Salvage: Examining Relationships Between Underwater Commercial Salvors and American Museums,” analyzes the relationships that have been forged between for-profit historic shipwreck salvors and museums that host exhibits created by these salvors and provides suggestions for museums hoping to become more effective advocates of shipwreck preservation. I am particularly interested in the connections between underwater cultural heritage, historic shipwrecks, and community identities and in the points in which underwater cultural heritage intersects with museums.
